Used to be wonderful, but not anymore
 Fat Jacks used to be a great place for lunch (and from what I've heard, breakfast too). [ ...More ] But the last 2 times I went I got pretty bad food poisoning - and I'm not a food-featherweight. I was also other people on both occassions, and they had similar experiences. I've never been able to narrow down the specific ingredient that may have been the culprit, but I suspect bad meat (I had a sandwich and fries, so there's not much else). Which wou;d be somewhat surprising, because I know they used to make such a point about their high standards for their meats.
It's a shame and I miss it, but I won't be going back for a while.
I gave them 2 stars instead of 1, for all the good times we previously had. If I build up the resolve to try again, I may post an updated review (hopefully for the better). [ ...Less ]

 Excellent food. We have never had anything that was not superb. My favorite place for beef.
Different & Delicious
 Very good food. Very accomodating staff. The menu is varied even includes some selections [ ...More ] for members of your group or children who might not be ready to sample Indian cusine. We went there with 3 adults 3 children. The kids ordered pizza, etc., but did end up trying some of the Indian dishes. So this is a great place to introduce them to different foods. There was also no wait to be seated, which is nice for us, however, I think Cafe Roti is a gem must be one of Lakeland's best kept secrets. [ ...Less ]
